The Alaska Mobility Coalition is a membership organization that advocates for and empowers Alaskans to develop the transportation systems they need for economic vitality, improved quality of life, and healthy communities.
The AMC Goals are to:
- Secure improved and stable capital and operating funding for existing community public transportation systems and services available to the public using:
- Federal legislation and appropriations
- Established funding mechanisms in state and local budgets
- Taxes and user fees
- Safe and cost-effective rides to meet local, regional and state mobility needs through:
- Maximized resources through coordination
- Education and advocacy
- New sustainable coordinated community transportation with:
- Startup funding available for new community transportation services
- Community transportation designed to meet specific community needs
- Mobility incorporated into local, regional and state planning processes
